Sound familiar?

He's turning up. He's not getting anywhere.

He's hitting his sessions. His protein's up. His program's sound. And four months in, his belly hasn't moved and his lifts have gone backwards.

Then he asks you between sets: "Should I just go on test?" His mate's on it and looks great. He's already taking a "test booster" and ashwagandha from the supplement shop. He's pasted his bloods into ChatGPT and it said "consider TRT". And you hear yourself say "that's one for your doctor".

Next week a telehealth clinic writes the script after a nine-minute call. Nobody looks at why his testosterone dropped in the first place, and nobody's watching what happens next. Including you.

Here's what's actually going on

Low T is usually the symptom, not the cause

Belly fat that won't shift while his arms stay lean. A crash after carbs. Snoring. Waking at 2am wide awake. No drive in the morning. That's a pattern, and in an overweight man it usually points to things that fall well before his testosterone does. Fix the order and the number often moves on its own. The clinic treats the number. You can treat the man.

What most coaches do

  • Add volume and push harder
  • Cut calories further
  • Say "that's one for your doctor"
  • Watch him start TRT with nobody checking why
  • Lose him to the clinic

What coaches who read the pattern do

  • Ask the questions the telehealth form never asks
  • See whether blood sugar, liver, sleep or stress is leading
  • Fix the first domino, so his hormones get a chance to recover
  • Build a plan that protects his muscle while the fat comes off
  • Become the coach he trusts more than the clinic

The order: what to fix first

The five-stage sequence IOH teaches its practitioners: nourish, restore, defend, regulate, optimise. Get the order right and his body has a chance to fix the number itself.

Who this is for, and who it isn't

This is for you if

  • You coach men, from blokes in their thirties to men in their fifties
  • Your male clients are asking about TRT, peptides or GLP-1s and you don't have a good answer
  • You've got a client who's stopped responding and you've run out of training answers
  • You want to be the coach they come to before the clinic

This isn't for you if

  • You don't work with clients yet. Come back when you do
  • You're looking for a TRT or peptide protocol. This isn't one, and coaches don't prescribe
  • You want this for your own health only. The free IOH content will serve you better

Your teacher: Jake Carter

Jake started on the gym floor at 16. He over-trained until he bulged a disc, then tore his shoulder, and lost the training that made him who he was. Nutrition and reading what was going on inside his own body got him back.

He founded the Institute of Health in 2021 to teach coaches and practitioners what their certs left out: how to read what's going on under the skin, and what to fix first.

What coaches say after working with IOH

Student proof: a personal trainer or coach, named, with their town and handle, on a client they couldn't help before and can now. Real quote or clip only. (supply from IOH)
Student proof: a coach who now sells a nutrition plan or package instead of sessions. (supply from IOH)
Student proof: short clip, phone footage is fine. (supply from IOH)

A note from Jake

Every week a coach tells me a client asked "should I go on test?" and they didn't know what to say. That's not on you. Nobody taught you.

I'm not against TRT. Some men need it. But most of the overweight men asking for it have a problem that comes first, and a coach who knows the order can make a real difference before anyone writes a script.

Bring one client to this session in your head. You'll leave knowing what to do with him.

Jake

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The masterclass is free. There's an optional case pack you can add after you register.

Do I need his blood tests?

No. This session works from symptoms and a nutrition plan. Jake will show you where testing fits and when it's worth it.

Am I allowed to talk about testosterone as a PT?

You can talk about it from a wellness perspective, and you can build a nutrition and training plan. You don't diagnose and you don't prescribe. Jake covers exactly where the line is, and when to send a client back to his doctor.

Is this anti-TRT?

No. Some men need it. This is about the man who's been offered it without anyone asking why his testosterone dropped.

Will there be a replay?

The masterclass is live. The replay is part of the case pack, for 30 days.

Will you try to sell me something?

At the end Jake will explain IOH's pathway for coaches who want the full qualification. It's there if you want it. The training stands on its own either way.

Coach mostly women? Jake runs a separate women's health masterclass on the stalled female client over 40. See The Stalled Female Client Masterclass
